A clown is a character generally found in circuses and it showcases various striking shades of colors, make up and similar loud costume with bigger footwear and a red-nose. The common image of a clown would make anyone laugh. Such attire may not be so pleasing for many, including kids and adults. But, it is meant to entertain people and make them smile. Normally, clowns are full of colors and their expressions are also altered and fixed by using make-up and paint colors.
White-face is a common make-up used by clowns these days. It is used to depict the cocky, serious and all-knowing character. These days, clowns may be a little specific in dressing with similar funny and colored face. They may dress up like baker, butcher, housewife, policeman or even a hobo. There may be other character that a clown may assume to amuse people. It is more commonly professions that can be found in our day-to-day life.
In circus, a clown may perform various types of activities like walk a highwire, tightrope or a slack rope. They may ride a zebra, elephant, donkey, horse or an ostrich. Lion taming is also one part of their activities. Clowns may do anything that any other performer in a circus can do. They are very talented and dynamic. There is a type of variety in their acts.
Clowns are not only confined to circuses but you can also find them in amusement parks, theme parks or in kids’ birthday parties. They have found ways in almost every occasion and that is what makes them adorable.
